BIO WINE EXPERIENCE
THE EUGANEAN HILLS PARK
LIVE OUR HILLS, LIKE A REAL INSIDER.
The Euganean Hills are green valleys a few kilometers from Padua. Our company is right on the slope of the hill, away from the busy roads, with a splendid view of the vineyards. Our advice is to get lost among the paths on foot, on horseback or by bicycle and fill your eyes with the beauty of a still uncontaminated nature.
THERE ARE MANY ORCHIDS
In the hills there are many species of trees: vineyards, centuries-old olive trees, chestnut and oak woods. Among the flowers we like to tell about the more than twenty species of wild orchids, such as the butterfly orchid, the vesparia and the wood flower. Among the fruits we collect blackberries, raspberries, pomegranates, jujubes, strawberry trees, hazelnuts, medlars and almonds.
CAN YOU RECOGNIZE THE SONG OF THE BIRDS?
Many animals live in the park of the Euganean Hills. Among the woods and vineyards you can also meet foxes, wild boars, badgers, hares and deer. For the most attentive will be easy to recognize one of the 129 (or more) species of birds present. From hawk to woodpecker, from hoopoe to robin.
OUR FAVORITE PLACES
Villa of the Bishops, for those who love beauty. Completely immersed in the Euganean Hills. Built between 1535 and 1542 is still perfectly intact. Many intellectuals passed through here and today it is FAI property.
Eremo Monte Rua, for those searchig a silence. A small church surrounded by 14 cells in the shape of small houses of 1530. A nice place to think. Unfortunately it is not open to women. Colle Mira, for those who prefers nature. It is the hill in the center of the village of Torreglia. Here you can take beautiful walks in search of views.
Abbey of Praglia, for those who have a weakness for culture. This Benedictine monastery currently houses the National Library, an Italian national monument. The abbey is at the foot of Mount Lonzina in the municipality of Teolo, near Abano Terme.
WHAT IS DONE ON THE EUGANEAN HILLS?
CYCLING
Cycling tourism | Cycling ring along the banks of the waterways. It starts from Padua, 63 km long, is marked with the initials E2. It meets castles, villas, hermitages. Very nice to ride with children also with the cart or in the car seat.
Mountain bike | Our hills are a playground for mountain biking in the heart of the Po Valley. Wonderful routes for all disciplines and all levels. Hundreds of km of unforgettable single tracks.
Racing bikes | For those who love to struggle the climbs on the hills are not lacking. We like to see these ups and downs as small alpine passes. Our suggestion is to reach the beautiful Teolo and Arquà Petrarca or Monte Venda.
pic nic
Look for a lawn to lay a tablecloth: wine deserves to be tasted in the middle of nature.
Around our winery there are many green corners to have a picnic. From Tramonte there is the Sengiari path that passes through the woods. Along the way choose the place you like best. Finally Roccolo Bonato, a panoramic plateau that can be reached through the path that goes up from the locality Pianzo. You will find tables and benches
